About

Duray

PROUDLY FROM QUEBEC

Since 1939, Duray has specialized in manufacturing quality wool socks in Quebec. We produce locally, from our two factories in Princeville, the authentic wool socks of Quebecers, the ones designed for work and the real lives of the people here.

From carding the raw wool to manually inspecting the final product, our team takes care of every step to ensure durable, comfortable, and carefully made socks, in Quebec, for all your adventures.

A TRADITION THAT CONTINUES

Duray wool socks offer a return to the roots, thanks to the selection of premium textiles in their raw state. Proud of our heritage, we still use carded wool, to which we add nylon, for a premium product that retains its shape and properties throughout its useful life.

Once done by hand, carding involves passing blended textiles through drums fitted with very fine steel pins, which divide and group the fibers. Today, we card wool using state-of-the-art computerized machinery, combining tradition and technology.

A SINCERE COMMITMENT

Our sustainable development processes aim to minimize waste and eliminate the use of environmentally harmful chemicals. We favor eco-friendly dyes and give a second life to unused wool by incorporating it into the manufacturing of some of our products.

Beyond our environmental commitment, we are actively involved in the community, distributing warm and durable socks to people experiencing homelessness every year – proof that Duray socks are made to warm, last… and make a real difference.

Duray is a quiet strength, a people-focused company built on integrity. Now it’s your turn to proudly carry on the tradition of authentic Quebec wool socks by Duray.
