Heat scale

The heat scale is used to compare the warmth level of our socks. This level depends on several factors:

  • the fiber composition (for example, alpaca is warmer than merino wool),
  • the type of knit (a thermal knit made with loops is warmer than a flat knit),
  • the thickness and weight of the yarn (a thick sock made with heavy yarn will be warmer than a thin sock made with fine yarn).

In short, the flame icons provide a visual way to compare models.
